According to the report, Pakistani cricket stars are considering boycotting sponsors and ICC World Cup 2023 promotional content.

Pakistani cricket stars are considering boycotting sponsor logos and other promotional content for the 2023 ICC World Cup due to ongoing payment issues. Prominent players such as Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, and Shaheen Shah Afridi were offered a substantial amount, approximately 4.6 million each. According to the news, no contracts have been signed yet, prompting Pakistani players to consider boycotting the promotions.
There are rumors that cricketers have not received their already committed payments on a monthly basis, leading to financial difficulties among young players due to the economic crisis in Pakistan.

Players have stated that they can represent Pakistan without any promotional content or activities. A Pakistani player, speaking on the condition of anonymity, revealed that they may refuse to participate in ICC’s World Cup 2023 promotional content and activities.

According to Cricket Pakistan’s report, the cricketers have demanded a share of the revenue expected from the International Cricket Council (ICC) and sponsors, estimated at approximately 9.8 billion rupees, excluding revenue generated from bilateral series and sponsorships.”
